Details
The D is ductility: Fe500D stretches further before failure, which is what seismic detailing counts on. Most structural engineers in Bengaluru now specify it for the full frame, and the price step over Fe500 is small against the steel bill.
Variants
Full diameter range8 to 25 mm, per your bar bending schedule
From the site engineer's deskIf the drawing says Fe500D, do not accept Fe500 as equivalent. The grades are priced close and detailed differently.
